You should now schedule a complete eye exam with your ophthalmologist and send the results to Mats Sexton, L.Ac. You will be provided with a list of requested tests. The exam should be ideally be completed within 30, but not more than 60 days from the start of the program. This is important so that we have a baseline of your vision status before your program begins. A follow-up eye exam should be completed after the Vision Repair Extension.
• The Vision Repair program also includes a "CWP" or Complete Wellness Profile and Vitamin D analysis if you obtain your test via my account at LabCorp located in Edina, MN.

"I went to see Mats Sexton in June of 2011. I was diagnosed with macular degeneration in April, and had been seeking complimentary treatments since that time. I found out about acupuncture as a treatment for AMD through internet searches. After several inquiries about who did these treatments, l was told about Mats, and called him in Minneapolis. every six months and with each visit I was told that the MD was becoming progressively worse and doctors couldn't do anything slow down the progression. I continued going to the specialist and in 2003 my right eye progressed to Wet Macular Degeneration and I was told that could be treated with an injection of Avastin every six to eight weeks.
I continued receiving these injections
until 2009 when I was at a party and I was talking to a person who tried Acupuncture for MD. I had never heard of this type of treatment and was not sure about whether or not this would really work. I continued going to the specialist a few more times with the same results and finally decided I had to try the acupuncture.
I called the person who had tried the acupuncture treatment and he told me about the treatments and how his vision had improved. I called Mats and went to his office for an interview and started treatments in October of 2009 and have been seeing him ever since.
