Mats Sexton, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., is the Pindoctor.  He began his Chinese medicine career in 1998 with Shiatsu and then completed a four-year program at the Minnesota Institute of Acupuncture in 2000. In addition, he earned a massage therapy diploma in 2005 and today he seamlessly blends these therapies into unique healing sessions.

Mats thoroughly enjoys working with new clients and strives to make the experience enjoyable. He is a nationally known and sought after specialist in the treatment of macular degeneration and other retinal diseases.

In addition to his clinical time, Mats has been a board member and staff acupuncturist at the Aliveness Project, a Chinese Medicine instructor at CenterPoint massage school and he lectures frequently on the benefits of acupuncture.  In 2011, he was honored as a "Distinguished Alumnus" by Northwestern Health Sciences University and was lead presenter at the Davis Alumni Lecture where he discussed his work with acupuncture and ophthalmology.

Mats is also the creator, writer and co-star of The Pindoctor Show, a ten episode acupuncture sketch comedy series that aims to promote the profession by diffusing it’s mysterious edge with humor.

Outside of the clinic, Mats enjoys acting and anything outdoors, especially  mountaineering.  In June 2011, he summited 20,320' Denali, North America's highest peak which was his fourth of the "Seven Summits."
